Barb Moser, 68, Fargo, formerly of Jamestown, suddenly passed away July 8, 2018, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, with The Rev. John Aertz officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown, and 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at St. James Basilica, followed by a rosary/prayer service at 7 p.m. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
Barbara Elizabeth Stein was born on April 19, 1950, in Breckenridge, Minn., the daughter of Milton and Mary (Reinke) Stein. She grew up in Hankinson, graduating from St. Francis Academy in 1968. Barb attended NDSCS from 1968 to 1970. She then continued on with her teaching degree at Valley City State University from 1970 to 1972. While attending college in Wahpeton, Barb was set up on a blind date with Darrell Moser on Feb. 19, 1969, which was Darrell’s 19th birthday. On Sept. 25, 1971, Barb was united in marriage to Darrell at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson. They were happily married for 46 years and had two boys, Bryan and Jaymie. Barb started her teaching career in Nortonville, for one year before getting hired by the Jamestown Public School System. She had a passion for teaching and served 34 years as an educator, followed by many years of subbing.
Barb was an active member in her church as a minister of Holy Communion. She had a passion for her faith and loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and she was always ready to tell you stories about them. Barb was an active member of the Harley-Davidson-Jamestown Hog Chapter. She enjoyed boating with her boys when they were young, helping them with their first jobs, and traveling. Barb always enjoyed eating out at restaurants and getting a great deal when she went shopping.
Barb is survived by her husband, Darrell Moser, Fargo; son, Bryan (Brenda) Moser, and their children, Brady, Brandon, and Bryson, Mandan; son, Jaymie (Melinda) Moser, and their children, John and Hayden, Fargo; mother, Mary Stein, Hankinson; brother, Bruce (Debbie) Stein, Hankinson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Stein; father, Milton Stein; grandparents, Joseph and Margaret (Braun) Reinke, and Robert and Lizzie (Hubrit) Stein;
