On Feb. 13, 1938, she married Philip Frei at her parents’ home due to a snow storm. The couple resided on the Frei ranch throughout most of their married years, until moving into Halliday in 1987. She had a passion for cooking, especially fleishkueckla, and entertaining anyone who came to her door and no one ever left hungry. She also enjoyed playing cards, especially a German card game, Duroch, and playing marbles. Above all else, Anna loved to spend time with her family.

Anna was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Halliday, the German’s from Russia singing group and quilted with the church quilting group.
