Transportation officials have shifted westbound Interstate 94 traffic to outside lanes between Bismarck and Mandan as construction work continues on the highway.

The traffic shift is from the Grant Marsh Bridge to Exit 155.

The westbound three-lane section of traffic along that stretch remains open to two lanes of traffic as work is done on the center lane. Drivers are still able to use either Exit 155 or Exit 153 to enter Mandan.

I-94 remains open to traffic at all times through a combination of lane closures and head-to-head traffic. Width restrictions are in place, and the speed limit is reduced to 45 mph or lower at times throughout the construction zone.

Work is expected to be completed in late fall. Motorists can check for updates on construction progress at www.i94bisman.dot.nd.gov or I-94 Mandan/Bismarck Expressway Project on Facebook.
