The North Dakota Brain Injury Network is holding an educational concussion discussion from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 13 in Room A of the Bismarck Public Library, 515 N. Fifth St. Amy Zellmer, the featured speaker, is a traumatic brain injury survivor and advocate.

Zellmer, a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post, will share her concussion experiences, followed by a panel of local individuals who will share their stories of recovery from concussions. This event is free and open to the public.

Zellmer, who produces a podcast series for TBI survivors and caregivers,  released a 2015 book, “Life with a Traumatic Brain Injury: Finding the Road Back to Normal,” which received a silver award at the Midwest Book Awards. She sits on the Brain Injury Advisory Council through the Brain Injury Association of America and is involved with the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance’s citizen advocates.
