CHI St. Alexius Health offers “Stop the Bleed,” a bleeding control basics class on Tuesday in the Technology & Education Center. This course will give participants general knowledge and resources to provide lifesaving care when seconds count.
This course will cover:
• How to quickly identify bleeding and apply rapid treatment
• Proper use of safe and effective hemostatic dressings
• Proper use of effective tourniquets
“Stop the Bleed" is a nationwide campaign aimed at teaching everyone how to stop bleeding and save lives in an emergency.
The class is open to the public and is presented by Dr. Derek Kane, Howard Walth, a registered nurse, and the Bismarck-Mandan EMS Professionals. Registration is not required.
