Nighttime work beginning on Bismarck Expressway

Nighttime construction work is beginning on Bismarck Expressway near Washington Street in south Bismarck.

Portions of Washington Street near the Expressway will have lane reductions in each direction to accommodate truck traffic working in the area. Lane reductions will be in place daily at about 6:30 p.m. Crews will remove lane reductions daily at approximately 6:30 a.m.

The project is being done at night so it will have less impact on motorists. However, motorists using Washington to access the Expressway between 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. should be prepared to stop and should expect delays.

The work is expected to be completed Thursday, weather permitting.

The entire Interstate 94 Mandan-Bismarck Expressway Project is expected to be completed in the fall. Updates on construction progress can be found on, or I-94 Mandan/Bismarck Expressway Project on Facebook.
