MANDAN RODEO

Ethan Lowe, 3, front, and his sister, Madisyn, 7, enjoy hot dogs as they prepared to watch a rodeo at the opening night of the 139th Mandan Rodeo on Monday. The kids and their parents, Michael and Barbara Lowe, of Bismarck, were among several thousand attending the annual family night at the rodeo with a free rodeo feed. "This is their first Mandan Rodeo and they've been asking all week, are we going to the rodeo or what," said Barbara Lowe. The rodeo continues today at Mandan's Centennial Park.

With competitions featuring the top names in rodeo and Bismarck's Miss America Cara Mund, Fourth of July events in Mandan are jam-packed with patriotic celebrations.
