Hayley Akre and Brandon Schock each garnered about 32 percent of the votes to win a seat on the Lincoln City Council. Schock, who launched his political activism when he disagreed with the council's decision in January to go into executive session regarding a Lincoln police sergeant. Akre received 272 votes and Schock earned 271 votes.
Incumbent Karen Daly was ousted with 108 votes, and William Woulu lost his bid for a seat with 179 votes.
Brock Garaas and Nicholas Couture ran unchallenged for seats on the Lincoln Park Board.
