Hundreds of Bismarck-Mandan-area residents are expected to join the Heart Walk on Saturday to raise funds to fight heart disease and stroke. The annual event takes place from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the state Capitol grounds.
The non-competitive 1-mile and 3-mile walk/run and fundraiser aims to support the mission of the American Heart Association in North Dakota.
Heart Walk participants also can attend the Heart Festival, which includes educational activities and healthy snacks, as well as a Kids Zone.
The free Bismarck Heart Walk is presented locally by Sanford Health.
