Draft medical marijuana dispensary application materials are available for the last four regions in the state: Devils Lake, Dickinson, Jamestown and Minot.

"The Devils Lake, Dickinson, Jamestown and Minot regions represent our final open application period for dispensaries," said Jason Wahl, director of the Division of Medical Marijuana.

Once the dispensaries are selected, all eight dispensaries in North Dakota will be announced.

The dispensary application period for the four final regions is expected to open at the end of the month. A $5,000 nonrefundable fee will be included with submitted applications.

Dispensaries will be allowed to sell usable marijuana to registered qualifying patients and caregivers.

The state Department of Health will assemble a panel to select the dispensaries eligible for registration.

The health department began accepting applications for medical marijuana identification cards for patients and caregivers on Oct. 29.
