The public is invited to attend "Celebrating 50 Years of the National Historic Preservation Act" conference to be held Oct. 22-23 at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck.
National and local leaders will address why historic preservation is important in the state and provide examples. Conference participants can join a historic Cathedral District evening tour Oct. 22 and a visit to United Tribes Technical College, formerly Fort Lincoln, Oct. 23.
Registration is required, and a $25 fee includes one lunch. Additional fees apply for optional tours.
