Firefighters respond to fire at storage building

The Bismarck Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire at a storage building, 301 Enterprise St., Tuesday.

Battalion Chief Rob Carlson said firefighters responded to the building at 5:49 p.m.

The fire was contained to three storage units, but smoke had spread throughout the entire building, according to Carson, adding that the fire was under control within five minutes of getting the hoses stretched.

Along with the fire damage in three units, there was smoke damage to about 20 other compartments, he reported.

Building damage is estimated at $20,000, but the value of the content lost isn’t known, according to the fire department.

No one was injured.
