The University of Mary plans to name its School of Health Sciences after Saint Gianna Beretta Molla.
Molla was an Italian pediatrician who is known for putting her own life at risk to preserve her unborn daughter's life. She died a week after the baby was born. Pope John Paul canonized her as a saint in 2004.
