Jeff Lind, assistant superintendent for Mandan Public Schools, announced earlier this month that he is resigning. His last day will be June 30.
Lind has served as the district's superintendent for six years, and he has been in education for 31 years. He said he is pursuing other work opportunities outside of K-12 education.
MPS superintendent Mike Bitz told Mandan School Board members Monday that the assistant superintendent opening will close on Wednesday, and he said he would like to begin interviews next week.
In other news, the school district has also hired a new school business manager, Ryan Lagasse, who currently is the district's director of facilities and transportation. Lagasse will start in his position on July 1. Former business manager Christi Schaefbauer announced her resignation earlier this year.
