After heavy snow flurries that contributed to 11 accidents in Bismarck and one in Mandan by noon on Tuesday, weather experts say to expect light snow into Wednesday before returning to dry weather on Thursday and Friday.

The next potent system will arrive Saturday and Sunday with a chance of rain, snow and gusty winds.

As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, the National Weather Service reported that Bismarck had received 1.5 inches of snow, Glen Ullin had 4 inches by 7 a.m., and Elgin had 5 inches by 9:40 a.m.
