Bismarck police are investigating a Friday afternoon hit-and-run accident at Sixth Street and Rosser Avenue that injured a 59-year-old Mandan woman.
Witnesses told police that an SUV was headed south on Sixth Street and making a left turn, officer Lynn Wanner said. The woman was in the crosswalk when she was struck. She complained of pain in her left leg, knee and rib cage.
Witnesses provided police with the license plate number and a description of the vehicle. It was located later and impounded. The owner of the vehicle has been interviewed and said he was not the driver. Wanner said video from Sanford Bismarck shows the woman being hit and the vehicle leaving.
No charges have been filed. The incident is still under investigation.
