A Grand Forks woman is facing numerous charges after police say she texted a friend “I’m a better mom when I’m drunk.”

Officers were sent to Tiffany Grace Dinicola’s home after the friend reported she was concerned for the safety of Dinicola’s baby, an affidavit said.

Police said 27-year-old Dinicola was highly intoxicated, smelled like whiskey and had slurred speech when they arrived around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday. The affidavit said she had a blood alcohol content of 0.308.

Her 18-month-old son was in a bedroom lying face down and sleeping on an air mattress with a bag containing drugs nearby, the affidavit said.

Police said there was marijuana, an edible, about 15 pipes, a grinder, scale, LSD tablets and hashish in her home.

She is facing charges of child endangerment, child neglect, possession of hashish, LSD, depressants, marijuana and paraphernalia.
