The Northwest Narcotics Task Force, with assistance from the Williams County Sheriff’s Department, seized 121.7 grams of methamphetamine during a weekend traffic stop.
John Mincey, of Minot, was stopped by the sheriff’s department on a traffic violation and found to have active warrants for a 2017 Ward County case that alleged possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
A task force search of the vehicle found the meth, which has an estimated street value of $12,170 and was sent to the State Crime Lab for further testing. Also located in the vehicle was a loaded handgun and $7,000.
Mincey has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, prohibited possession of a firearm and driving under suspension.
