A Watford City woman's criminal charges have been amended to increase the level of her initial charge and add another offense.

Hannah Lloyd, 38, is now charged with Class A felony counts of theft and forgery. She was initially charged with Class B felony theft of property.

While working for an accounting firm that handled payroll for the Watford City Park District, she allegedly funneled more than $57,300 from the organization using a fake employee's name, two bank accounts and a limited liability company.

Watford City Park Board president Justin Johnsrud said Friday the park district is undergoing a forensic audit to determine the total sum of money missing.

Lloyd's preliminary hearing is set for March 1 at the McKenzie County Courthouse before Northwest District Presiding Judge Robin Schmidt.

She is held at the McKenzie County Correctional Facility, pending $100,000 cash bond.
