  • 0

Thousands of dollars in cars and construction equipment were vandalized this weekend at the wastewater treatment plant.

According to Bismarck Police, $30,600 damage was done to property owned by the Bismarck Wastewater Treatment Plant and to equipment from PKG Contracting, of Fargo, a company working at the site on 601 West London Ave.

The vandalism occurred from Thursday through Sunday and included broken windows on multiple vehicles and graffiti. Suspects also allegedly drove a forklift into a trailer, causing $15,000 damage to the trailer and $5,000 to the machinery.

Two boys, ages 9 and 11, were arrested there at 7:47 p.m. Aug. 6 for trespassing, after police allegedly saw the kids walking there and playing in the tubing. They were cited and released to their parents.
