A bomb threat prompted an evacuation of the north Bismarck Walmart on Monday night, but no bomb was found after a search of the store, Bismarck police said Tuesday.

An unknown man called Walmart and said he placed a bomb in the store, Sgt. Mark Buschena said.

Police were called at 8:05 p.m. Monday, and Walmart management ordered an evacuation of the store.

Officers and store employees checked the store and found nothing out of the ordinary, Buschena said.

Police cleared the area shortly after 9 p.m. The incident remains under investigation.
