A former resident of Ruth Meiers Hospitality House's men's emergency shelter has reported his prescription medications were stolen.
Bismarck Police took the report Saturday from the 57-year-old Bismarck man, who is now in jail. He told police his medications were stolen in late January while he was staying at the shelter at 305 N. 23rd St.
The man said he waited until now to report the theft because he thought the medication, which had been locked in a medication locker, might be returned.
Sgt. Mark Buschena said police have no suspects, and the case is under investigation.
It's unclear why the man is in jail.
Ruth Meiers' emergency men's shelter closed Oct. 27 due to financial issues. The organization has accepted a bid from Heartview Foundation for the building.
