A 32-year-old Mandan man was arrested early Saturday morning for his alleged involvement in a domestic dispute, during which a handgun was shot through the ceiling inside the home where he was found.

Mandan Police arrested Landon Carlblom after they received a report of a dispute at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday at a residence on the the 3100 block of Bayshore Bend S.E., according to a news release from the police department.

A woman at the residence told police she and Carlblom had returned home from a bar when Carlblom began urinating on the front lawn, according to a criminal complaint filed in the case. The woman said she told Carlblom to stop. Carlblom then "flipped out," went inside the residence and proceeded to break items and throw things around.

The woman said she saw Carlblom get a handgun and load a magazine into the weapon. She said she turned away but heard a shot go off. She said she saw Carlblom had fired a round into the ceiling of the bedroom. The woman locked herself in a room in the basement and called police.

Officers arrived on scene and took Carlblom into custody without incidence.

Carlblom allegedly told police he had fired the weapon inside the residence. He has been charged with reckless endangerment and discharge of a firearm within city limits.
