The ex-husband of a missing San Diego woman with Bismarck ties has pleaded innocent to her murder.
Dalen Ware, 39, entered his plea Monday in Rancho Superior Court in San Bernardino County, Calif. Ware, being held on $1 million bail, was arrested almost a month ago at his Arizona home for 37-year-old Julia Jacobson's murder.
Jacobson and her Wheaton terrier, Boogie, haven't been seen since Sept. 2. Ontario (Calif.) Police presume her dead based on forensic evidence found in her car near her Normal Heights, San Diego, home.
At the time of her disappearance, Jacobson was a retired Army captain working as a corporate real estate broker for 7-Eleven.
Her family has planned a North Dakota memorial service for her at 11 a.m. Dec. 1, at the Spirit of Life Catholic Church, 801 First St. S.E., in Mandan.
