The Morton County Sheriff's Office has received two recent reports of email scams targeting county employees.

Two employees who work for the Morton County and the Mandan human resources departments received emails from what appeared to be a county or city employee, requesting to change their direct deposit to Green Dot Bank account, according to the sheriff's office. The email includes an attached blank check with an account and routing number.

The sheriff's office has contacted other local law enforcement agencies and the North Dakota Attorney General's office.
