A 27-year-old Bismarck man faces four felony counts after allegedly raping a Bismarck woman on Thursday.
Brandon Foren was charged with gross sexual imposition, a class AA felony, in South Central District Court on Monday.
Officers responded to an apartment at 100 W. Bismarck Expressway at 10:35 p.m. March 29 for a report of domestic violence, according to Bismarck Police Sgt. Mark Buschena.
As they approached the apartment door, officers said they heard the voice of a woman in distress. When they entered, they found Foren with the woman who allegedly told them Foren had raped her.
The pair had been arguing, according to court documents. The woman told police Foren smelled of alcohol and told him to leave as there were children present. She said she thought she became unconscious at one point because Foren allegedly had his hands around her neck and held a pillow over her face.
Buschena said the woman was taken to a local hospital.
