Extra patrols last month to curb underage drinking netted 114 related citations throughout the state, the North Dakota Department of Transportation reported Wednesday.
Law enforcement around North Dakota deployed the added patrols from Oct. 13-31, netting such offenses as:
• 13 counts of minor in consumption
• Nine counts of minor in possession
• Seven open container citations
• Six DUI arrests
• 10 drug-related citations
• Two felony arrests
• Six warrants served
• 13 speeding tickets
Federal grant money allowed funding for the added enforcement, distributed by NDDOT.
