The new St. Mary's Central High School campus is expected to open in fall 2019.

LIGHT OF CHRIST CATHOLIC SCHOOLS, PROVIDED

The Burleigh County Commission approved the issuance of MIDA bonds for the new St. Mary's Central High School, which will be located north of 57th Avenue and east of Washington Street in north Bismarck.

The cities of Linton, Hazelton, Wilton and Lincoln approved issuing a total of $34 million in bonds for the Light of Christ Catholic Schools project; the county commission acted as the host jurisdiction Monday night, holding a public hearing, which was uncontested, prior to their approval.

The new high school will be located on 48 acres of land donated by local developer Ron Knutson and his wife, Ruth.
