A Community Preparedness Fair is slated for 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the meeting house at 1500 Country West Road in Bismarck.
Sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and local emergency responders, all programs will be provided free of charge. Concessions will be available for purchase. Registration is not required.
Sixteen workshop sessions will be conducted by financial, health, gardening and other experts on a variety of topics including stress management, vital documents binders, 72-hour kits, neighborhood collaboration, family drills and planning for disabled, elderly and family pets. In addition to workshop sessions, booths and demonstrations will be available and provide information on food storage, square foot gardening, first aid, natural medicine, financial preparedness, emergency management and a corner for children’s activities.
Janeanne Bischke, CEO of CrossCountry Freight Solutions, will be the keynote speaker.
