A community input session where citizens can share their views on the Bismarck Park and Recreation District’s facilities is planned for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Capital Ice Complex, 1504 Wichita Drive.

BPRD is working on a facilities master plan to assess the condition and uses of its facilities, with a focus on the BSC Aquatic & Wellness Center, the Capital Racquet & Fitness Center, the VFW Sports Center and the Wachter Aquatic Complex.

The Facilities Master Plan Input Session, in which all are welcome to attend, will help determine potential gaps in recreation facilities within the district.

Once community input is gathered, a needs assessment survey, in which the public can also participate, will be conducted. The results will be used in BPRD’s strategic planning process to determine the need for facility renovations, facility additions and additional new facilities as outlined by citizens of Bismarck.
