A blizzard warning, issued by the National Weather Service, increased snowfall amounts and wind gusts anticipated for Wednesday evening through early Thursday evening. Strong winds, as high as 65 mph and blowing as much as 9 inches of snow, are expected to sweep across the far southwest, south central and into the James River Valley in North Dakota. 

The winter storm warning is in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 6 p.m. Thursday. High temperatures are expected to reach into the 30s each day.
