A February trial is scheduled for a man accused of stealing from Bismarck and Mandan stores and pulling a knife on a store employee who confronted him.

Cody Bauer, 31, of Bismarck, pleaded not guilty Monday to felony robbery, terrorizing and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with a misdemeanor theft charge.

He was arrested in late November as he was trying to pawn stolen items, police say. He was identified as the man who pulled a knife on a store manager at Runnings in Mandan during a shoplifting attempt, according to an affidavit.

South Central District Judge Douglas Bahr scheduled a two-day trial starting Feb. 18. Defense attorney Thomas Glass declined comment on the case.
