The Bismarck Police Department is warning local businesses of a recent string of counterfeit $100 bills.

So far, six fake $100 bills with the same serial number, G39865587A, have been turned over to the police, according to Bismarck Police Officer Pat Renz. The bills all reportedly passed counterfeit pen tests.

The department is urging businesses to closely inspect all large bills. Also, inspect for nuances in the bills, including texture and thinness.
