Jurors on Friday acquitted a Bismarck man of felony aggravated assault.

The jury in the case against Kyle Thompson returned a not guilty verdict on Friday, the same day the trial began.

Thompson was previously accused of punching a woman and knocking out two of her teeth.

He also had worked as a pipeline security guard and was involved in a conflict in October 2016 with Dakota Access Pipeline protesters.
