A Bismarck man faces charges after police say they found $11,000 in illegal pills in his possession.

Cory Crawford, 29, who authorities say also has ties to Detroit, was arrested after he showed a fake identification card to police during a traffic stop. Crawford allegedly had 169 oxycodone pills in a plastic bag that was found inside his underwear when he was being booked into jail, an affidavit says.

He was charged Tuesday with felony drug possession and two misdemeanors for providing false information to law enforcement.

Crawford is being held in the Burleigh Morton Detention Center on $15,000 bail. No attorney is listed for him in court documents.
