A Bismarck man was issued a traffic citation Tuesday morning after a vehicle struck a pedestrian on the 500 block of North 33rd Street.
Wesley Wessner, 70, was driving east on Rosser Avenue at about 7:30 a.m. and turned left to go north on 33rd, Bismarck police Lt. Luke Gardiner said. His vehicle struck a woman who was walking west across 33rd. The woman, 65, was transported by ambulance for medical treatment after complaining of back and wrist pain.

Gardiner said Wessner was cited for not yielding to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and for not having a current insurance card. Speed was not a factor, Gardiner said.
