A Mandan man facing federal charges that include attempted sexual exploitation of a child has pleaded not guilty.
Kyle Rollin Kennedy, 33, was arraigned Tuesday in Bismarck's federal court. He appeared in prison stripes and shackles along with his attorney, Tyrone Turner.
Kennedy was indicted last week on counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a child, possession of images depicting the sexual exploitation of children and transfer of obscene materials to a minor.
Kennedy also has been charged in South Central District Court with three counts of gross sexual imposition and corruption or solicitation of a minor and one count of indecent exposure.
Court documents indicate allegations of child sex abuse involving boys younger than 15 date back to 1998.
Kennedy is set for trial on Aug. 6 in Bismarck before District of North Dakota Chief Judge Daniel Hovland.
