Bismarck police and an ambulance were called to an indoor shooting range on Tuesday after a report of a gunshot wound.
Lt. Luke Gardiner said the mishap occurred at Personal Defense Center, 303 Airport Road, about 2:30 p.m. A hot brass casing ejected from a weapon became lodged in a man's clothing. The gun fired again when the man, 58, attempted to free the brass. The bullet struck his left leg. He was transported by ambulance to a Bismarck hospital, Gardiner said.
