Try 3 months for $3

A 20-year-old Bismarck man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault of a juvenile.

Jonathan Brungard has been charged with two felony counts of gross sexual imposition. At his initial appearance in court on Monday, South Central District Judge Cynthia Feland set his bond at $250,000.

According to an affidavit, Burleigh County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to Sanford Health in Bismarck on early Saturday to take a report of a sexual assault involving a juvenile.

The juvenile told police she was visiting a friend at a residence in Bismarck, and that, when her friend went to bed, Brungard sexually assaulted her.

Brungard allegedly told officers that he had consensual sexual intercourse with the juvenile and that he was aware of the age difference between him and the girl, which is more than three years, the affidavit said.
