A 41-year-old Bismarck man accused of shooting a BB gun at his neighbors has pleaded not guilty.

Jason Lee Bechtold faces felony counts of terrorizing and attempting to commit aggravated assault using a weapon.

Police officers were dispatched May 5 to a residence on Sussex Street in south Bismarck for a report of a man shooting a BB gun at houses, according to court documents. One man said Bechtold shot a BB at him while the man was out in his yard.

Bechtold reportedly told officers that he was shooting the BB gun at his neighbors because they were shooting BBs at him first and were spying on him with drones, court documents say.

A trial is set for Nov. 19-20.
