A Bismarck man who police say threatened a neighbor while wielding a machete has been charged with terrorizing, court records show.

Danny Bowen, 23, made his initial court appearance on Monday. Bismarck police arrested him Saturday as he left his residence carrying an unsheathed machete. One of Bowen’s neighbors had complained to Bowen about loud music, according to an affidavit. Bowen allegedly responded by holding the machete above his head and threatening to kill the man, police say.

Bowen was being held in the Burleigh Morton Detention Center in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. Court records do not list an attorney for him.
