The federal trial of two people charged after a May drug bust on Interstate 94 in Bismarck has been postponed until March 2020, court documents show.
Deandre Jones and En’Chante Thurmon were scheduled for trial on Nov. 5. Attorneys for the United States filed for the continuance, which they say is needed as the court is still considering other motions in the case. The defendants did not object, according to court documents.

Jones and Thurmon were arrested after a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper alleged he found a loaded gun and methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and Xanax pills worth $75,000 in their car, according to police documents.
The three-day trial is to start March 3 in U.S. District Court in Bismarck.
