Bural Coffey has joined the Tribune staff as the paper’s new circulation manager.

Coffey, a native of Kentucky, comes to the Tribune with 10 years of experience in the local newspaper business, most recently as the circulation manager of the Commonwealth Journal in Somerset, Ky.

“This is what I enjoy doing,” said Coffey, who also worked previously as a news carrier and district manager.

Coffey says what drives him is a love for local community news and a high level of respect for customer service, enjoying interacting directly with customers to ensure they are getting the product they want.

“With all the moving parts in this business, no two of my days are the same and I tend to feed off it,” he said.

And in his job, he strives to ensure everyone, no matter age or income, has access to local news in ways they can afford.

“We provide a service that will never go out of style,” he said.

Coffey is a graduate of Centre College in Danville, Ky., where he met and later married his college sweetheart, Monica DeCarlo. The couple has a 4-year-old son, Evrett, who Coffey spends his free time with, enjoying watching him play soccer.

Coffey played college football as an offensive guard and has spent a number of years coaching high school and middle school football.
