The Bismarck School Board went into executive session Monday night to discuss a negotiating strategy regarding the sale of Saxvik Elementary School.
District officials would not disclose whether an offer has been made, and the board did not take any action Monday night.
In April 2016, the board voted unanimously to close Saxvik, located at 523 N. 21st St., at the end of the 2015-16 school year in an effort to save money. The school's closure was estimated to save $1.5 million annually.
The board met Monday night with the district's real estate agent for the property. The school was valued at $750,000 in October, and the district determined it would be best to sell the building rather than rent it.
The board's next regularly scheduled meeting is Sept. 11.
