A Bismarck man was sentenced to 18 months of probation after causing more than $3,000 worth of damage by egging multiple vehicles.

Benedict August Ponzer pleaded guilty earlier this month to misdemeanor criminal mischief. Ponzer also was sentenced to 60 hours of community service and must pay about $4,610 in restitution. 

On June 18, the Bismarck Police received 20 reports from people whose vehicles had been hit with eggs in north Bismarck. Pioneer Elementary School also was egged. Three victims reported $3,218 worth of damage to their vehicles.
