A Bismarck man accused in May of pointing a loaded rifle at neighbors and then refusing to leave his home pleaded not guilty Monday.
Scott Brand Jr., 43, was charged with two counts of terrorizing after police were called to a Centennial Road address on a report of a man pointing a gun at two adults and two children. Brand gave up the weapon but went inside his home, refusing to leave for four hours, police alleged.
The West Dakota SWAT team used chemical munitions to get him out of the house. Two rifles and a shotgun were seized at the scene, police said.
Brand's trial is scheduled for Sept. 25.
