A Bismarck man is accused of inappropriately touching a girl in two separate incidents at his residence.
Russell Walbert, 64, also known as William Swartz, allegedly molested the girl when she was 8 and 9 years old, according to a police affidavit. The girl told police that Walbert had touched her on several occasions in 2017 and described two incidents in detail. Those incidents allegedly occurred in a shed at his residence and in a camper parked on his property, the affidavit says.
Walbert in an interview with police on Tuesday denied the accusations, the affidavit states. No attorney was listed for him in court documents.
Walbert made his initial court appearance Wednesday on four felony counts of gross sexual imposition. Judge Gail Hagerty set his bail at $25,000. He was still on the Burleigh Morton Detention Center roster Wednesday afternoon.
