The North Dakota Department of Health has begun accepting applications for medical marijuana dispensaries in Devils Lake, Dickinson, Jamestown and Minot.

Applications will remain open through 3 p.m. Central time on Feb. 26, according to a news release.

“The four regions represent the third and final open application period for dispensaries,” said Jason Wahl, director of the Division of Medical Marijuana. “We anticipate entities being selected in these four regions near the end of March or beginning of April.”

Last year, the Department of Health selected dispensaries eligible for certification in Bismarck-Mandan, Fargo, Grand Forks and Williston. The department is working with these entities to obtain their dispensary registration certificated.

Wahl previously said a dispensary in Grand Forks is expected to open next month.

A $5,000 nonrefundable application fee is required with all submitted applications. A panel will review all complete applications. For more information, visit www.ndhealth.gov/mm.
