Members of the committee leading the search for the next University of North Dakota president have scheduled a public listening session in Bismarck.
The event is at 7 p.m. on Aug. 21 in the Alumni Room at Bismarck State College, 1425 Schafer St. The goal is to give people an opportunity to weigh in on what characteristics and strengths they'd like to see in the next UND leader.
Similar meetings are being held in cities around the state. Comments gathered will be presented to the full search committee later.
The new president will succeed Mark Kennedy, who left the Grand Forks school in June to become president of the University of Colorado system.
