Treacherous driving in Bismarck

Early morning motorists in 2015 in Bismarck faced treacherous driving with strong winds and blowing snow reducing visibility as a winter weather advisory moved into central North Dakota.

An advisory warns of 35 mph winds with 50 mph gusts from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to a statement issued by the National Weather Service in Bismarck.

Winds may make travel, especially for those driving high-profile vehicles, difficult. Working on elevated structures will be hazardous, according to NWS. The day is expected to be sunny with a high near 23 degrees. Increasing clouds are anticipated to move in on Wednesday with a high near 13 degrees.
